ON THE MAINTENANCE OF A HEALTH PROTOCOL IN CONNECTION WITH THE ADOPTION OF MEASURES AGAINST CORONAVIRUS COVID -19

Please be informed that our accommodation is fully harmonized with the special health protocols, under which the tourist businesses operate in the framework of measures against koronovirus COVID-19, as defined by the Ministry of Health. no. 1881/29. 5. 2020 Joint Ministerial Decision of the Ministers of Finance-Health-Tourism (Government Gazette 2084 B ‘ / 29-5-2020).
All staff of the property have received the necessary training for compliance with health protocols.
The property has received a “Health First” certification mark from the Ministry of Tourism which proves that the company adheres to the health protocols.
In our effort to respond to the new data brought about by the pandemic of koronovirus COVID-19, we ask for your understanding and compliance with the measures to avoid transmission of koronovirus COVID-19.
We inform you that the company is not liable to any person directly or indirectly related to CORONOVIRUS COVID-19, provided that it adheres to the specific health protocols and has the certification mark “Health First” (par. 5, Article 60, N. 4688/24-5-2020).

GENERAL RULES
- Where required, personal protective equipment is available: a mask (simple surgery or cloth/cloth) and disposable gloves.
- The company complies with the circular of the Ministry of Health ” Protection of Public Health from CORONOVIRUS SARS-COV-2 in water supply and sewerage systems».
- Implemented by all employees in the enterprise, basic measures to avoid transmission of – COVID-19 coronavirus: hand hygiene, use of antiseptics, avoid handshakes, observe physical distances, avoid contact of hands with the face and generally observe personal and respiratory hygiene measures.
- Kokkos Ioannishas been appointed as the coordinator of the accommodation, to comply with the draft rules of health protocols in the framework of measures against covid-19 coronovirus.
- The procedures prescribed in accordance with the instructions of the ESA, for the management of a suspected case of COVID-19 are observed.
- The staff of the property uses personal protective equipment, for which there is continuous sufficiency.
- A member of staff who shows symptoms related to the disease stays at home and returns to work if the laboratory test is negative. Also, if he comes into contact with a case he must stay at home. In the above cases, the employee notifies the person responsible for the implementation of the suspicious case management plan of the accommodation.
- For the purposes of Public Health Protection actions, the management / administration of the accommodation shall keep a record of the staff members and all persons who have stayed at the accommodation-name, nationality, date of arrival and departure, contact details( address, telephone, e-mail) – to enable the close contacts of any COVID-19 case, which may be subsequently identified.
Attention is also paid to the General Regulation on the protection of personal data (GDPR) and all visitors are informed that a record is kept for reasons of Public Health Protection.
- The company has special equipment (medical kit) for the occurrence of a suspicious case, such as disposable gloves and masks, antiseptics, cleaning wipes, Apron, long-sleeved robe and laser thermometer.
- Check-in/check-out measures to avoid overcrowding – distance keeping
- All key cards and keys are placed in a special container for disinfection before they are given to guests.
- The business operates with extended check-out and check-in hours between stays (check out until 11.00 am and check in from 4.00 pm).
This change in the time between each check-in and check-out is mandatory to ensure that, between different customers, the room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and that adequate natural ventilation of the room is followed.
Non-residents are prohibited from entering the rooms.
- Special cleaning instructions are applied in case of occurrence of an outbreak in accordance with the corresponding instructions of EODY.
- The staff of the enterprise at work adheres to the basic measures to avoid transmission of coronovirus – COVID-19, does not smoke, does not consume food or drinks and is equipped with gloves, masks (simple surgery or sneakers), robe and closed shoes.
- Non-frequent room cleaning during the stay (avoiding contact of cleaning workers with a possible case and further transmission), except on request as well as abolition of daily change of clothing & # 8211; towels, except at the request of the customer.
- Choice of policy between regular cleaning and 24-hour waiting before the room is available to a customer or thorough cleaning – disinfection (eg. with steam cleaner) on the disputed surfaces of the room and bathroom.
- Fabric surfaces where there are (e.g. furniture upholstery) are cleaned with a steam device at a temperature>70°.
- Staff observe hygiene rules when sorting unclean linen using appropriate personal protective equipment (special disposable apron over the uniform, gloves and mask).
- Used fabrics, bed linen and towels are placed in closed, labeled bags or bags, in order to be transported to the laundry rooms.
- Separation (marking) of areas of unclean and clean linen is carried out.
- Trolleys for transporting closed linen bags are disinfected after each use.
- Fabrics, bed linen and towels are washed in warm circles (70oC or more) with the usual detergents.
- In case the cleaning service of clothing is provided by an external partner, a check is carried out for compliance with the required pick-up and delivery measures in the appropriate manner.
- Care is taken to keep clean clothing items in good and clean condition during storage and for transportation to the areas of use (rooms, restaurants, etc.).)
Reception/ WC
- Antiseptic for use by the customer (stationary or not devices), is available in reception desk as in shared WC. The reception desk is also regularly disinfected).
- Reception desk properly configured, with addition of floor marking at a distance of two meters where the customer will stand, suitable distance marking in the waiting area, appropriate arrangement of furniture and proper management of the queue aiming to reduce waiting time.
Management of a suspected case of COVID-19
- If a visitor shows symptoms consistent with the COVID-19 infection, the following apply:
- The health officer of the company immediately contacts EODY at 210 5212054 or the special four-digit number 1135 for evaluation of the incident by a doctor.
2.If the patient has an urgent need for hospitalization, presents a serious clinical picture, he is transferred to the relevant health unit, as a suspected case of COVID-19. In case there is no possibility to manage a COVID-19 incident from the health infrastructure of the area there must be provision for transportation of the patient (EKAB, floating Ambulance, Air Ambulance) to the nearest health facility where he can manage it.
3.If the patient shows a mild clinical picture, a sample for laboratory confirmation COVID-19 is taken by the doctor.
4.If the incident is assessed as a possible COVID-19 by the examining doctor, the health officer of the company immediately communicates with EODY at 210 5212054 or the special four-digit number 1135 (24 hours a day), for a statement of the suspected case and instructions for its treatment.
5.The patient with a mild clinical picture remains in his room until the results of the laboratory test are known.
6.During such waiting, staff shall be prevented from entering the patient’s room if there is no significant reason. If necessary, a staff member of the accommodation is advised to deal exclusively with the possible case.
7.The doctor and hotel staff who will enter the room of the suspected or later confirmed case must use personal protective equipment (PPE) of high protection (masks, glasses, waterproof disposable dressing gowns). The same applies to staff who will deal with the patient room cleaning with COVID-19.
8.If confirmed as a case of COVID-19, it is transferred to the quarantine hotel and later to a health facility that will accommodate patients with COVID-19, if they need hospitalization. If it is not confirmed as a case of COVID-19, it is treated on site on the instructions of the Attending Physician.
9.The patient is transported by simple surgical mask and private transport.
10.If there is an attendant of the patient, who wishes to stay near him to look after him, a simple surgical mask should be given to the attendant, and he should be recommended to wash his hands whenever he comes in contact with the patient’s secretions and certainly before the attendant touches his face or eats or drinks.
11.The contact details of a relative of the patient should always be recorded in case consent is needed for operations where the patient cannot communicate.
12.Used protective equipment (simple disposable surgical mask, gloves) should be discarded in a bucket and in no case be reused.
13.After disposal of protective equipment, hands should be thoroughly washed with water and soap. It is stressed that the use of gloves does not replace hand washing, which is a very important means of prevention.
